Old Jams for Jazzmin

Dearest V,

It’s fun to reminisce over songs from our college/high school days which happen to be ones we both added to our respective mixtapes back in the day. It lifts my heart when I hear a collection of songs from movies whose themes of love remind me of my heart’s journey to you.

These songs are all really wonderful.

But long before The Smiths, Bruno, Train, Toni, or Tuck & Patti, there were the soulful and sultry tunes of The Delfonics, The Ronettes, and both Nat King and his daughter Natalie. From Fankie Valli to the Five Satins, Heatwave to Harry Connick, a collection of songs that will take you back—WAY BACK! They don’t make songs like this anymore. Sort of like you, when these came out, they broke the mold.

Chez Rey Records is proud to announce “Old Jams for Jazzmin.”
